Sure hun, if you don't mind. I've tried to photograph fire in the past. I did alright but learning new photography tips is always a good thing (here's my attempt [link])
That's really nice Basically I found there are 2 ways to shoot fire first is the fast shutter to capture it witch you did superficially Second is long exposure and let the fire move
How ever fire performers are different you need to light the performer as well as let the fire trail This shot I set the camera to bulb and held the shutter open for 3 second at f14 at ISO 200, To light the model I used a Off camera flash bare bulb but inside a mini soft box with both baffles taken out. I would normally triggered it with a wireless trigger mounted on my camera with it set to rear curtain since as its important to have your flash go off at the end of the exposure as that's what your using to freeze the action how ever the problem I had was my camera has a fault on its syink and my wireless trigger died on me so I had to manually fire the flash via a assistant who I called over to each exposures and then closed the shutter my self the moment I saw the flash witch I had at 1/2 witch was very powerful
It can be quite complicated but that's my method Simply put high f stop bulb mode off camera flash to free the action at the end of the exposure Hope my explanation makes scene not good with words
