Metamorphosis Flame by Foxseye Metamorphosis Flame by Foxseye
Taken during EuroCosplay, I was very lucky to get this frame I had to hold the shutter down to get as many exposures as I can in the hope I'd catch the phosphorus flash she made on stage even shooting at 7fps I ended up with only one photo with the flame in it. This is a case of trying to stack the odds in your favour and then spray and pray this time it paid off
This photo has also been featured in issue 79 of Neo magazine to promote EuroCosplay at MCN London Expo

It took about a day of full work for each wing. ^^ Once the first one was a bit time consuming as I've never made wings before at all but the second went a lot quicker once I got the hang of it!

Not at all, they're really light and can be picked up by one hand easily. It's a steel rod frame on the top half with chicken wire shaping the rest of it, then covered in wadding and feathers on top. It makes them very light and flexible. ^^

I wouldn't say better I've just seen yours and your flame looks amazing, I was badly croped with the dress so I had to go tight in you could show the full body I just had more of the face maybe always love your shots!

Mine's a bit more on the safe (boring) side as I already missed her first flame XD That and I wasn't close enough while she was that far back to get the kind of close up you've got - you're on the flame side and it looks more magical, whereas in mine you can clearly see the igniter ring XD

Still, at that speed it's lucky any of us got a shot of it at all, let alone two!
